Harry Potter Predictions

o in 26 hours and forty minutes, the next Harry Potter will come out, and I will read it, without stopping for anything.
I have decided to make predictions (I’ve been dodging the Harry Potter spoilers right and left, so these are virgin spoilers).
Ron will die, and it will have something to do with Harry’s wand, Dumbledore’s death, and the phoenix feather core in both Voldemort’s and Harry’s wand.
Snape will die. Snape is good.
And Draco Malfoy will save Hermione’s life; Kreacher will somehow be involved.
How’s that for out there predictions? Anyone want to add a few of their own?

I haven’t read books five and six yet because a friend accidentally spoiled five for me, so my speculations are probably WAY off-base. I suspect that, in the inevitable showdown between Voldemort and Harry, the magical connection between the two wands will cause all of those who’ve been killed by both wands to be brought back to life. But others will die, and at the top of that list, IMO, will be Snape and Ron.

The whole thing makes me nauseous. I don’t want anyone to die, and I would make Snape the hero of ALL, but I’m predicting Mr. Wesley won’t survive.
I bury myself in the world of H.P. fanlit instead because the author greengecko writes such fabulous stories with Snape as the hero, it’s got my HEA all built in.
Any predictions on what Rowling will do next?

All this talk of Snape has put me in the mood to watch the Emma Thompson S&S this weekend! He was flat awesome in that movie.

I, too, have been assiduously avoiding all spoilers. Hmmm. My wild-arsed guessing:
I agree that Snape is good and will die.
Disagree re: Ron.
I think Neville will die.
Percy will be redeemed, and perhaps die. I don’t care so much about Malfoy.
Sirius will find his way into the book, even if from ‘beyond the veil.’
Ever since SPEW, I have thought that the house elves will somehow factor into the series’ climax.

I’ve been trying to avoid spoilers as well. We’re picking it up at midnight and I’m sure I’ll stay up all night reading it. I should say we. Mr. Burke and I will read it together on the couch. We did that with the Half-Blood Prince.
I also disagree re: Ron, but I agree Snape is good and he’ll bite it. I just wonder how. I wonder if Harry will kill him and then realize he was good…we’ll see. I do wonder if Neville will die, but The Order of the Phoenix movie has me doubting his role in the endgame (I’m happy to explain, but I don’t want to spoil anyone who hasn’t seen the movie).
I’m just dead anxious to read it. For a couple of days this week, I thought we could pick it up tonight. Oh, the disappointment!

Love predictions about HP7. I think Snape, Voldemort, and a Weasley (not Ron) will die. However, I do think Ron will be seriously injured but will survive it.
I think Snape will redeem himself—or rather the truth of what happened in HP6 will come out. I don’t think Harry is the horcrux. I think Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny all survive. I don’t think Neville will die but will do a brave act in the book.
Oh and I do wonder what JK’s next book will be about as well.

Hey Cortney, I hope you don’t mind, but I’m delurking to cast my vote. PS: Love the blog!
I’m thinking Ron has to die, because one of the three will inevitably go and it better not be Hermione.lol. And the Harry death seems WAY too obvious.
Snape=Good=Offed.
Voldermort=Bad*g*=Offed.
Neville…I don’t think he’ll die, but I’m thinking he’ll do some sort of uber-heroic thing…ya know cause he’s thus far ALWAYS been the under-dog…
Now…I’m not sure…but Hagrid or Lupin won’t last. Most likely Lupin, because he’s my favorite character and my favorite NEVER makes it( Sirius(sp?) anyone?).
Finally, Percy Weasely is prolly gone, because he has a wedding or something coming up and it packs a big emotional punch to do something like that.
Ok, that all from me.
I can’t wait for the new book. My niece has been asking hourly “How much longer?” *g*

Since I’ve only seen the first Harry Potter and never read any of the books, my prediction is that Harry will die.

Snape dies after revieling that he is really Harry’s father. Dumbledore comes back to life -pheonix style - only long enough to get killed again. And Hermione marries Harry.

Hmmm. I’m definitely in the Snape-is-good camp, think he’ll probably die saving Potter. Either Hermione or Ron dies, no way both can survive. What might be cool is Hermione biting the dust saving Malfoy, actually…
