RT giveaways!

I dropped by the RT convention in Kansas City this last weekend to see some friends, get an award, and talk to people–and I had a great time! I hadn’t actually planned on going at all, and because I decided to show up so late, it was too late to get books in for the book signing. So, instead, I wandered around the signing and talked to people who I had missed in the halls. It was so much fun!

While I was there, I got some books signed from some newer historical romance authors to give away to readers of my blog.

Erin Knightley’s A Taste for Scandal: A baker heroine meets an Earl, and gives him a taste of something sweeter than he’s ever had before.

Juliana Gray’s A Lady Never Lies: An inventor set on perfecting a horseless carriage meets a lovely widow.

Jennifer McQuiston’s What Happens in Scotland: The hero and heroine wake up married, and have to figure out how they got there and where they’re going next.

Heather Snow’s Sweet Enemy: A chemist heroine discovers chemistry of her own with the Earl of Stratford, a war hero.

Samantha Grace’s Lady Vivian Defies a Duke: A hellion shows a duke how and where to find love.

Tracy Brogan’s Highland Surrender: A Highland beauty is commanded to marry her sworn enemy.

If you’d like to win one of these, please leave a note in the comments.

Courtney Milan writes historical romances, which might lead people to think that she could be cool. In reality, she's about four different kinds of geeky. At present, this blog is where Courtney applies semi-dormant geek skills to publishing.

  1. Thanks. I’d like to win one, especially Sweet Enemy, A Lady Never Lies or A Taste For Scandal.

  2. I’d love to win any one of these, although the marrying your sworn enemy is a trope that woks for me. I’m due to have a baby in a month, and could certainly use some reading material for those late night feedings!

  3. A Lady Never Lies and Sweet Enemy look fantastic, but they all look fun! I’d like to win one!

  4. A Taste for Scandal, Lady Vivian Defies a Duke, A Lady Never Lies and Sweet Enemy all sound good to me.

  5. If this giveaway is international, I’d love to win one – especially A Lady Never Lies, but if that’s already taken, then Sweet Enemy and A Taste of Scandal both sound fabulous too!

  6. I’ve been hoping to pick up What Happens In Scotland…but Sweet Enemy sounds good too! I’m currently experiencing a self-imposed book buying ban in place because my to read piles are a little out of control. But contests don’t count. Ahem.

  7. These titles sound great — definitely going to check some of them out whether I win or not! Thanks for running this giveaway.

  8. I’d love to win a copy of one! I was not able to go to RT this year but I checked out all the pics posted! Looks like a blast!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. They all sound interesting, but I’d love Sweet Enemy, What Happens in Scotland, or Highland Surrender.

  10. I’ve always wanted to go to RT and come back with a big stack of new releases. Winning one of these would be a chance to have gone vicariously. Thanks for giving us a chance to win.

  11. How generous of you to share goodies. I’ve read all these wonderful books except Samantha Grace’s Lady Vivian Defies a Duke.

  12. How generous! I want to go to next year’s convention–that’s my goal. Thanks for the chance at some autographed books.

  13. That’s SO great of you!! I’ve read Jennifer McQuiston’s “What Happens in Scotland”, it was a fantastic new kind of highlander book! And I’ve got Juliana Gray’s books in my TBR pile! It would be nice to read some of the newer authors! Great way to help promote your new colleagues, Courtney!

  14. I would love, love, love to win a historical romance novel. I promise to read and review on goodreads. If I love it, I’ll post it to my facebook for all to see. 🙂

  15. I already have the McQuiston ebook, but any of the others would be a welcome addition to my TBR pile. Thanks, Courtney:)

  16. I would love to win and read any of these, but A Taste for Scandal sems to be calling to me the strongest. Thanks!

  17. I just finished Heather Snow’s book this week: what an awesome set of characters she’s created. Her chemist heroine really catches your interest.

I’d love to win any of the others. Regardless, they’re going on my to-read list!

  18. The Knightly and Grace books both sound intriguing. Sweet Enemy, though… I’m not sure if I’d love it or hate it. I’ve seen some very good scientists in romance and some very poor ones. But either way, it has my attention.

  19. I was so lucky to attend a previous RT convention, and I can’t wait until I can again. Thanks for being so generous!

  20. All the books sounds interesting, but Sweet Enemy sounds like it has particular potential.

  21. I’d love any of the books (I’ve got Sweet Enemy though – loved it!). I’ve especially been eager to read What Happens in Scotland, it sounds like a really fun story.

  22. Hi Courtney I would love love to win Jennifer ‘s book what happened in scotland:). I always love to read such an unpredictable romance :). Love it when the hero and the heroine wakes up and married to each other :). Thx Courtney

  23. How generous! I’d love any of the books. I’m new to historical romance, so all of these authors are new to me. I just recently discovered your novella “The Governess Affair”. I loved it! Then I read Tessa Dare’s “A Night to Surrender”. Now I have all the books from both series in my TBR collection.

  24. All sound so wonderfully sigh-worthy! Thanks for sharing your loot! 🙂

  25. While I’d love to win any of these books, Sweet Enemy and A Lady Never Lies sound especially good to me.

  26. Courtney, I would love to win any of these, but I already have Juliana Grey’s book (awesome) and Heather Snow’s book (high in my TBR). Thank you for the give away. 🙂

  27. Awesome giveaway! And RT sounds like it was so much fun!
I’d love to get A Taste For Scandal, What Happens in Scotland or Sweet Enemy.

  28. Yes pls!! I’ve read Heather’s book (her books are super awesome) & Juliana’s but would love a copy of the others.

I love your books Courtney. You’re an auto buy for me.

  29. I would love to have any of the listed books (except for heather’s that I have already read and loved!!) How wonderful it would be to attend a convention!!

  30. How lovely that this is open for international people! I would love to have any of the above. What happened in Scotland sounds entertaining… and A Taste for Scandal sounds like something I would like. Food and romance. Sounds good.

  31. Love your books Courtney I am from Australia I would love to read
    What Happens in Scotland
    Lady Vivian Defies a Duke
    Highland Surrender
This is a great giveaway and thank you
    Courtney

  32. Congrats on the winning the Self-Published Historical Romance category (did I get the right?). I already read Juliana Grey’s “A Lady Never Lies” I think I enjoyed it overall, though I think I had gripes about how the story was paced.

Both Heather Snow’s “Sweet Enemy” and Samantha Grace’s “Lady Vivian Defies a Duke” sounds interesting. I guess put me done for those. Even if I don’t win I might check them out. Thanks!
