RWA Literacy Signing

On July 25, 2012, from 5-8 PM, I’ll be signing books at RWA’s “Readers for Life” Literacy Signing at the Anaheim Marriott. All proceeds go to literacy, so if you’re in Southern California, stop by and say hi to me! And don’t stop with me–there will be literally hundreds of romance authors present. This is the biggest book signing for romance authors that happens during the year, so if you love romance, I hope you can make it.

Of course, that may take a little bit of doing. You see, you’re really going to have to use your literacy to find anyone. This year, the authors are not arranged by alphabetical order. It’s not entirely clear what the order is, but RWA has come up with a handy-dandy map to explain everything, which you can download here: http://www.rwa.org/galleries/rwa2012/RWA2012%20Literacy%20Map.pdf

Of course, that’s insufficiently clear for my liking–you have to look forever to find Milan, Courtney in that sea of names!

So I decided to make y’all an easier-to-understand version.

I’m sure you’ll agree it explains everything.

Courtney Milan writes historical romances, which might lead people to think that she could be cool. In reality, she's about four different kinds of geeky. At present, this blog is where Courtney applies semi-dormant geek skills to publishing.

  1. I am SOO stoked about this, you have no idea. I absolutely cannot wait to have you sign something for me! (I’ll resist the urge to have you sign to my internet moniker =P)

You’re sharing a table with one of my other fave authors (Jenn Bennett) and I’m over the moon that I won’t have to wander around like a lost puppy trying to find the authors that I love to read when they’re miraculously at the same place, so to speak.

  2. This made me laugh. I’ve never been to the literacy signing before, but my goal is simple. I’m going to all the tables without a line, in hopes that I will find a new to me author.

That way, my husband can’t ask when I come home with a copy of one of your books, “Is there a reason you need multiple copies?”

Really looking forward to this event.

  3. The link to the RWA map is giving a 404 – not found error. Maybe they are improving the map?

    Love the pacman map!

Wish I was attending, but alas, I am not. Have fun and may your hand be sturdy enough for all the signatures!

  4. Hi Courtney. This is so hilarious. I’m attending RWA for the first time and also participating in the literacy signing. Couldn’t get the link to work but I’d rather follow your version. At least I know where you are!
